We are extremely honoured to again be collaborating with the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the Woolaning Community in the NT for this years Isotopia Festivals.
Woolaning community is located about 160 KMs south of Darwin (by road) inside the majical Litchfield National Park, home to some of the Territories grandest waterfalls.
Finding a good route on the way to Isotopia
There are 2 ways to drive to Isotopia. Both are very beautiful drives and have several swimming opportunities along the way.
Batchelor / Litchfield Park Road
The preferred route is through Batchelor and is tar sealed for the entire drive.
Numerous swimming opportunities exist along the way, including Berry Springs (13 KM detour along Cox Peninsular Rd), Buley Rockhole, Florence Falls and Wangi Falls within the Litchfield National Park.
Darwin River / Cox Pensinsular Road
The other is a shorter distance through Darwin River area, but contains 35 kms of unsealed road to the edge of Litchfield Park. This unsealed section is sometimes in extremely poor condition. You can also catch a swim at Berry Springs, Darwin River below the Dam and Tumbling Waters. NOTICES WILL BE POSTED HERE CONCERNING THE ROAD CONDITIONS 1 WEKK BEFORE THE FESTIVAL.
Google Maps - Directions
Use this Google Map to obtain specific driving instructions and a printable map if you need it.
The Sun Icon is the Isotopia Gate. Click on it and select 'Directions to here'. Then type in where you want to come from, e.g. 'Darwin', 'Batchelor', 'Katherine'.
Note if you select 'Darwin' Google Maps will send you down the Berry Springs route. This involves about 30 kms of unsealed road. Some hire car companies in Darwin do not allow their vehicles to use this road. The blue and green pin icons show landmarks about 2 - 5 kms from the gate.
